Interview of David Elliott
What was it like to be an employee for Coach Sep?
"Coach Sep was hands down the best coach I have ever worked for. He allowed his assistant coaches to coach. As long as you did your job he left you alone. He would also think about your family. He would want us to finish our jobs quickly so that we could get home to our families. He also cared about his staff members. If we needed to be somewhere because of family matters he would let us go. I believe he won this way because he had been at this for so long he knew if he took care of his people then his people would take care of him."
How did you feel about the coaching staff?
"The coaching staff would change, but Coach Sep usually hired someone we could all get along with. A coaching staff is like an extended family. Your going to have problems but in the end you are all there for the same purpose."
What did you think and what did you expect from yourself, coaching staff, and the players?
"My expectations are high for myself. I expect to be the best at what I do. The coaches I worked with are the same way. The players expectations aren't always as high as mine but I will not lower mine. They may not meet my expectations but they are going to try."
